We are seeking an upbeat technical Senior Manager of Telematics and Product Innovation. Our ideal candidate will be vital to our Personal Insurance (PI) product team.
The role is responsible for proposition development and product management of forward-looking, innovative products, primarily focusing on Aviva's PI telematics products. The role covers all proposition design and performance management areas, including market and customer research, business casing, proposition development, performance reporting, customer experience, engagement, and operational performance.
This role will help our team identify and prioritize key product initiatives within Personal Insurance. This role will report directly to the VP of Product Development.

What you'll do
Developing and delivering product initiatives for Personal Insurance customers, with a specific focus on telematics products and other innovative offerings
Leading overall performance and insights for telematics, including business growth, profitability, data analytics, performance reporting, customer experience, risk management, and product governance
Identifying and driving initiatives to enhance telematics propositions, working closely with key partners (internal and external), including retail channel leads, MI, marketing & comms, operations, UW, pricing, data science, claims, finance and IT
Coordinating the end-to-end performance of the telematics business, understanding the financial, customer, operational, claims, and marketing drivers and their contribution to overall performance
Performing robust analysis of data and insights, including the development of performance dashboards, to identify any issues and prioritize opportunities to improve overall performance across all facets of the proposition
Leading ongoing financial planning and budgeting for the telematics business for both near and longer terms, in close collaboration with finance partners
Handling operational expenses and identifying any opportunities to optimize spend continually
Building positive relationships across the organization, including pricing, data science, finance, distribution, digital, claims, underwriting, operations, MI, vendor management, marketing and communications
Closely monitoring competitive, vendor, and regulatory developments for opportunities to strengthen the performance and success of the telematics business
Reviewing market and competitors' developments to understand competitive positioning and find opportunities for new propositions and/or product improvements
What you'll bring
University degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
5+ years in leadership roles related to business performance and insights, proposition development, product/project management, and/or transformation
7+ years of proven experience in the insurance, financial services, consulting or related industries
Strong understanding of proposition development and product strategy
Excellent communication and partner engagement skills
Experience with developing and/or leading telematics programs is a strong asset
Strong financial savvy, combined with a focus on outstanding customer experience
Strong problem-solving, analytical and logical structuring skills, with the ability to spot patterns in data and recommend appropriate actions
Ability to analyze large amounts of data, synthesized into clear and actionable insights
Experienced in subjects such as performance management, balanced scorecards, trend analysis, dashboards, and business process improvement
Proficient project management skills to identify and track required activities and keep all relevant stakeholders accountable for delivery
